We are small family of four. I am Kopila Sen, a mother of two children. I am involved in a preschool with few other ladies partner in the neighborhood. I am managing this homestay at my place. My husband is involved in Nepalese tourism for about 20 years now. He organizes tours and treks. My daughter Anna is 6 years old and son Raya is 2.
We are trying to adopt Eco friendly lifestyle in the city. So we compost, use no plastics to reduce our garbage. The compost goes in rooftop gardening and plants we have. In our initiation, the lane is now greener with flower and fruit trees. We also recycle, repair and reuse most of the broken furniture and other materials. We use solar energy, rain water harvest and trying to find other measures for the betterment of the neighborhood.

Informazioni locali :
We are in center of Kathmandu with just 5 mints walk to tourist center of Thamel. Bus stand is just about 200 m away, grocery shop and departmental stores are in the main street about 50 m from the house. Bank, ATM, Taxi stand are just in walking distance. Yet we are off the main road in a green lane for peaceful stay. Two of UNESCO Heritage sites of Swyambhunath and Kathmandu durbar square are about half an hour walking from our place. We are just about 3 km away from Shivapuri Nagarjuna national park. The Nagarjun hill with altitude of 2,000 m makes a good day hike.
