I was not worried because I had heard about my American friend's one month homestay experience at this house in the past. They were a very nice family！. Especially my host mother. I ate a variety of Japanese food. My mother's dumplings are the best. I will go back to Japan in the spring and I will stay there again😃

Wow! I got soooo lucky that Uchida-san’s house was my first ever homestay, and what a home stay it was! Uchida san and her family are incredibly kind and took the time to explain many Japanese terms to me as well as lots of awesome recommendations for things to do near by. Even though I am vegetarian, Uchida-san took special care and spent lots of time preparing delicious food for me which she always made sure it was something I can eat. They prepared a bath for me everyday and gave me a beautiful clean room to sleep in during my stay. Their son, partner, and child (who is the cutest cutie btw!) live near by and came round often so it was always a beautiful vibe in the house! They also taught me Japanese card games like Karata and Trump 💖 They even woke up suuuuuper early for me just to drop me off at the train station when I wanted to take the second earliest train to Hakano.
