I am a host looking for guests. How can HomestayWeb help me?
When you become a member as a Host, you can benefit in the following ways :
- You can make your profile page. You can keep your profile page on this website for as long as you like. You can edit and delete your profile at anytime.
- You can be listed on Host Listing in this website and let Guests know about your offer. You will receive emails directly from Guests.
- You can view Guests' Requests and contact (send emails to) them, If you find some Guests whom you would like to host.
Note : In order to send or receive emails, you or the other person needs a Premium-Passport.
Upgrade to a Premium-Passport anytime after you become a free member.
Can I become a member as a host for free?
Yes, you can register as a host family and your profile will be shown in our host listings for free. You can make your profile page and edit it on your own at anytime on the Member page.
However, if you are a non-paying host family, then a non-paying guest cannot send emails to you.
In order to receive more emails from guests, then you might want to purchase the Premium-Passport.
Do I need to meet all requirements for registering as a host family?
We ask that you fulfill the Homestay host requirements.
If you do not meet some of the reqirements, you can still register as a host under the condition that you explain exactly what you can offer and cannot offer guests.
Can I get emails directly from guests?
Yes. You will receive emails directly to your registered email address. The guest contacts you through your profile page.
Once you receive emails from the guest, you can simply exchange emails with each other after which point you do not need to log into HomestayWeb to read or send emails to that specific guest.
If the guest has purchased the Premium-Passport, you do not have purchase it, but we recommend host families should have the Premium-Passport because many guests are students.
What is the Optional Premium-Passport Service?
When you purchase a Premium-Passport, you can receive emails from guests as much as you want during the period for which you purchased the Premium-Passport.
Once you have purchased a Premium-Passport, there will be a star icon beside your name on the host listings.
This indicates that you have purchased the Premium-Passport and potential guests who have not paid the Premium-Passport fee, can easily contact you for Free.
Is HomestayWeb a homestay agency? Can you find my guests for me?
No, we are not a homestay agency. HomestayWeb is a notice board for host families and guests.
You must register on this website and create your ad (profile page) on your own.
If you want an agency to help you find the homestay guest, please contact our homestay agency partners.
I would like to have Online Payments.
We offer the PayPal button integration, for online payments, on the host family's profile page.
The PayPal button is only available to host families who have purchased a Premium-Passport.
PayPal button is a PayPal payment service and HomestayWeb is not involved in any money transactions between guests and hosts.
Can HomestyWeb organize reservations or transfer deposits or Homestay fees from the guest?
No. The guest and host must agree on the conditions of their contract on their own.
If you need a deposit or the entire fee before the guests visit your home, please ask your guests directly.

How can I become a host in the HomestayWeb listings?
This is how to register as a host family on this website.
- You have to register as a HomestayWeb member first. Please go to Become a host.
- Complete the form then click the "Sign Up" button. You will receive a confirmation e-mail right away.
- Click the link in the email to complete the registration process. Now you are a HomestayWeb member.
- Then you log in and will be on the "Member page".
- Click on the "Edit my profile" button to fill out your profile.
How will I know that my email to a guest on the "Guest's request" page is delivered to them?
Since we do not have any inbox on our system, those emails will send directly to the other's email address.
We are sure your email was sent to the guest's email address, but unless they reply to you, you won't know if they received or not.
If you do not receive a reply from the guest within a few days, it means the guest is busy or not interested in at the moment, so you should contact another guest.
If someone put a request on the Guest's request and then the guest finds a homestay, will their request be removed?
The request has an expiration date. Therefore, if they forget to delete their message, the request will be deleted in a few months after the expiration date.
Is this a recurring memberships? I have purchased a Premium-Passport, but I do not need it anymore.
